- Music Appreciation
I've always believed that music is far more than learning notes on a page. It is one of the most remarkable gifts God has given us—a language that reflects beauty, cultivates discipline, tells the stories of generations, and connects people across cultures, history, and time.
One of the things I love most about teaching is watching students discover that music is connected to so much more than performance. It naturally weaves together history, mathematics, science, language, creativity, and human expression, inviting students to see the world with greater curiosity and wonder. Every lesson becomes an opportunity not only to grow as a musician, but also to become a thoughtful learner.
Outside the lesson studio, I enjoy continuing my own musical studies, exploring history and theology, performing, and finding inspiration in the countless ways music reflects the order, creativity, and beauty of God's creation. These interests continually shape the way I teach and remind me that learning is a lifelong journey.
Whether you're taking your very first lesson or returning to music after many years, I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of that journey. My hope is that every student leaves not only with stronger musical skills, but with greater confidence, deeper understanding, and a lifelong love for learning.
